Leading on the cutting edge of technology

Showing the way into cyberspace

Present and active in outer space

Innovating into the world of the unknown

Showing,  sharing, learning and knowing

I dream of a new Africa

Borderless, passportless, one big community

Highways linking Giza to the Cape of Good Hope

Railways moving goods from the Gulf of Guinea to the Gulf of Aden

Growing what we eat and eating what we grow

Showing,  sharing, learning and knowing

I dream of a new Africa

Kwame Nkrumah’s Africa- united

Ahmed Ben Bella’s Africa – economically strong

Nelson Mandela’s Africa- Peaceful

Haile Selassie’s  Africa – welcoming

Showing,  sharing, learning and knowing

I dream of a new Africa

Clearly do I see attitudes changing

Loudly do the youth cry-arise , arise and build

Strongly is the narrative changing- forward, forward ever
